Captive: నా కవిత "బందీ" కి ఆంగ్లానువాదం!

In the relentless rain of moonlight
The stars occasionally seem balls of hail …
I run after falling meteors
With the swiftness of childhood …
I have already melted enough hails
And cooled off comets and meteorites!
A rainbow opens up on the sky, but
Within, a firmament snuggles smugly
Some more colourful dreams try to hang about
Unsuccessfully… but the canticle endures….

New moon looks not gloomy
When you think of the crescent in the offing
When you are sure of the full moon,
You are not conscious of the dawn or nightfall.
Between, when you balance your Blues and Brights
You reconcile and find there is no room for angst.

Yet, neither the bleak veils cease,
Nor buds of darkness blossom
Night long, as restlessness endures
And an unremitting anxiety seizes
I patiently twine the frills of light
And billow the fires of sleep
Becoming a shadow among shadows
Like the screen behind chiaroscuro
Lying alone incarcerated to redeem a dream.

ఆగక కురిసే వెన్నెల్లో అప్పుడప్పుడు తారలు వడగళ్ళు అవుతాయి

రాలిపడే ఉల్కల వెంట బాల్యపు నేర్పుతో వెళ్తాను- ఇప్పటికే ఎన్ని వడగళ్ళు కరిగించాను

ఉల్కల, తోకచుక్కలను చల్లార్చాను!?

ఇకిక్కడ వానవిల్లు విరిసింది, లోలోపల ఒక పందిరి నింగిలా ఒంగి

ఇంకాస్త పరుచుకుని రంగుల కలలు, అతుక్కుని, అతికీ అతకక 

అయినా నిరంతరం గా సాగే గానమై!

అందుకే
నెలబాలుడు వస్తాడనుకున్న పిమ్మట అమాస బాధించదు
పున్నమి రానుంది అనేకున్నాక వేకువ రాకపోకలు పట్టవు
నడుమ కృష్ణపక్షపు పూర్వపక్ష కాంతులలో అవే నీలాలు
ఉన్నవి రానివి లెక్కేసుకున్నాక వేదన మనసున నిలవదు...

అయినా...

మసక తెరలు తొలగవు; చీకటి మొగ్గలూ విచ్చుకోవు

రేయంతా యాష్టగా వేసట యెరుగని ఆత్రుతగా 

వెలుగు కొసలు ముడివేస్తూ- నిదుర నిప్పులు ఊదుతూ-

నీడల్లో నీడగా, కదలాడే గోడగా ఇదిగో ఇక్కడే బందీగా విరిసే ఓ కల కోసం...
